Font Picker Extension: Inspect Fonts on Web Pages

Font Picker Extension helps designers, developers, and curious readers explore the typography of web pages. Open the inspector from the toolbar or press Alt+Shift+F, choose Pick text, and click visible text. Hover first to preview its family, weight, and size.

Inspect the CSS font stack, style, size, line height, letter spacing, color, and available variable-font axes. Edit a sample and change its size. Scan Page fonts to discover styles across visible text; large pages are limited to the first 5,000 text nodes. Copy a family name or CSS snippet, save up to 100 styles in your local collection, and export that collection as CSS or JSON. Move or minimize the panel and switch between light and dark themes.

Font-file links appear only when an accessible stylesheet provides a matching @font-face source. System fonts and inaccessible sources may have no link. The CSS stack does not guarantee which font renders every individual character. Saved previews use fonts available on the current page and may show a fallback elsewhere; font files are not included in your collection. Fonts in images are not identified.

Your collection, preferences, and review-request state stay in this browser's local storage. To resolve font-file URLs, the extension may fetch stylesheets already used by the inspected page, including other domains. It has no account, analytics, or separate data collection service.
